Box Tops for Education
IMPACT has raised around $700 per year through the Box Tops for Education fundraiser. This money has allowed us to maintain the Accelerated Reader program and to purchase prizes for students as they read more books and earn points. The first turn in date will be October 23rd, so keep clipping those box tops!
Lil Eagles Snack Shack
The Snack Shack is back again this year. It will be offered four days each month to elementary students. A schedule has been sent home with elementary students for September - December. If you would like to help with this project in any way, please contact Tori Taylor.
Academic Achievement Program
As part of our yearly goal this year, we've introduced the Academic Achievement Program. We want to celebrate the academic achievements or our students at all grade levels and award those that deserve it. This program will also recognize the achievements of school related activities such as literary and debate. The celebrations are set for October 29th, January 28th, April 1st, and Honors Day, May 25th. Events will be held at 6pm in the gym with the exception of Honors Day, which is traditionally held during the school day.
Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is set for Thursday, November 5th from 5pm to 8pm. Everyone will be needed to pull off this event. Jerri Goodman has agreed to chair the Silent Auction committee. The Fall Festival planning committee will be meeting on October 9th at approximately 8:30am in the cafeteria. If you can, please make an effort to attend.
Accelerated Reading Committee
The Accelerated Reading Committee is searching for a few people to assist with the upkeep of the AT reading room, books, and tests. Deadre Hadden and Sheri Patterson are working with the project. You can contact either one of them if you are able to help. Please note that this is not a time intensive project.
Pancake Supper
Plans are being made for February 9, 2010 for the Pancake Supper at McDonalds in Metter. More details to follow.
Ink Cartridge Collection
DEA is still collecting used ink cartridges. Cartridges may be sent to the school office. For further information, please contact the fundraiser's coordinator, Michelle Lamm.
David Emanuel Academy's IMPACT (Inviting Meaningful Partnerships in Academics, Christian Values, and Traditions) aspires to be a community of partners working toward the obtaining of academic excellence, the upholding of Christian values, and the keeping of traditions which have drawn families to this institution for generations.
"Celebration of Academics"

We want to invite everyone to help celebrate our students' academic achievements. This recognition will reach all grade levels and may include a variety of awards. This time will also be used to recognize the achievements of literary, debate, and any other special activity relating to academics.

Our past goal, "Beautification and Recreation" was a success! The benches and picnic tables have been in place and in use by the middle and high school students. Fund raisers were held throughout the past year for a new playground and through the help of our DEA parents, was installed and landscaped over the Thanksgiving Holiday break.

IMPACT is always looking for volunteers. We depend on you to help make us successful. Please contact any of the IMPACT officers if you are interested in helping with any of the projects listed below:
  • Accelerated Reader Program
  • Basketball Concessions
  • Lil Eagle Snack Shack
  • Pancake Supper
